We have just received a copy of this book which we ordered a few days ago. So top marks for quick delivery from the publishers.
It contains some very useful information about dog-friendly places to eat and stay and some ideas for day's out in Devon. There 's also a section on dog-friendly beaches in the area, too, as well as a short version of Eddie and Cat Greyhound's backgrounds (which - as I've mentioned before - is very interesting.)
This is ideal for anyone who is new to visiting the area with their dog(s).
In the 'Where to Eat' section, information is given about the parts of the establishment that dogs are allowed in, size of portions and other information such as the friendliness of staff and information about other facilities.
The 'Where to Stay' section gives information on several holiday parks in Devon, the accommodation and other facilities on site are evaluated. Ideas for other places within easy reach are also provided.
The 'Day's Out' section covers a range of varied interests - such as steam trains and ferry crossings, natural features; a botanical garden and a Donkey Sanctuary (which is to be applauded for actually allowing dogs on the premises).
Eddie and Cat's photos are included throughout the book and some of the information has been provided by Cat herself.
There is also a section on the 'Greyt Dog Meet' - an event for Greyhound owners. More info on this event can be found at the link below.
Other South West areas are covered on the Camping and Exploring with Dogs blog, but for visitors to Devon, this book contains some very good ideas.
